Although SAAC Expo week is now behind us, the positive momentum continues. The week began with a successful golf outing, where approximately 50 participants enjoyed 18 holes at Skylinks Golf Course while connecting with colleagues and raising funds for the SAAC College Scholarships.
On Wednesday, we opened the day with the ASI/PPAI panel before the show floor launched. Thank you to Nicki Stella from ASI, Ellen Tucker from PPAI, and our moderator, Kate Alavez from PromoShop, for sharing valuable insights on our industry. At 10:00 a.m., the doors opened to a vibrant show floor featuring more than 125 booths and tables from outstanding suppliers and business service providers. The energy throughout the event was evident—not only in the exhibits, but also in the meaningful conversations, new connections. Of course, no Long Beach SAAC event would be complete without the celebration on the lawn behind the Hyatt. The Long Beach Line Up Committee created a festival-style atmosphere with three bands, excellent food, lawn games, and engaging activation events. It was a memorable evening that honored the nostalgia many of us value while introducing a fresh perspective for the next generation of our industry. We closed the week with the show and end-user day, where I had the opportunity to take part in and observe many productive conversations centered on connection, collaboration, and client-focused ideas. I sincerely hope your experience was equally valuable.
Looking ahead, we have two remaining events planned for 2026: a factory tour and….at Logomark in October, followed by a networking event at Brew Haven Beer Company in November. The November event will also serve as SAAC’s annual meeting. Additional details will be shared soon. Our webinars and educational programming will also continue throughout the remainder of the year.
As we look toward 2027, we are preparing to bring fresh ideas and renewed energy to our events, educational offerings, and member benefits. To make this possible, we need your involvement. The SAAC Board will have several opportunities available to join the Board of Directors. If you are interested in having a greater voice in shaping what comes next, please complete the Board of Directors nomination form. We would welcome the opportunity to hear from you.
