Times Talk With Heidi Selleck – June

Let me introduce you to Jeff Jennings, an industry veteran and the Facility Manger for Vantage in Santa Ana.

What is your favorite thing about our industry? The many, many types of people you meet along the way. Some are well versed in this industry while some need a little extra help and that’s where I can assist. And decoration methods are always changing, it’s just not embroidery and screen print any longer.

Why did you join SAAC? And why do you continue to support SAAC? I’ve been a part of SAAC since joining Vantage Santa Ana in 2014. Before that, I was based with Vantage in the contract office in St. Louis, MO. Since I’ve been Santa Ana, I’ve been a part of being able to host open houses on 2 occasions and hopefully will be able to assist the members of SAAC even more in the future.

What are you looking forward to at the SAAC Expo 2024? This will only be the second Expo I’ve been able to attend while in Santa Ana but after meeting so many SAAC members in the past few of years, I feel this expo will be one of the best. Looking forward to attending this year, especially with it being so close.

How long have you been in the industry and with Vantage? What’s your official title? I started with Vantage in July of 2003 in the St. Louis contract office. Prior to that, I was actually working for the US Social Security facility in Springfield, IL. After trying to find my way, it just wasn’t for me. So I moved with friends to St. Louis and just happened to see an ad for a Customer Service Rep in their office. Although, prior to that job offer, I honestly hadn’t had any previous experience with this industry. But I’ve been hooked ever since. After filling in on a couple of occasions in the Santa Ana facility in the early months of 2014, Ira offered the Facility Manager position and I’ve been here since July of 2014. I have since grown to love the area and have made numerous business relationships as well as friendships since moving here. I’m really looking forward to what changes we encounter in the next few years and will be happy to have SAAC with us!
