With Memorial Day behind us, summer is officially underway. Many of us are beginning to plan family activities and summer travel, and SAAC is doing the same. Our Board, along with the dedicated in-person events committee led by Vernon’s Heidi Selleck, is excited to kick off a strong season of summer events. In May, we gathered in Long Beach at the nostalgic Auld Dubliner for a networking event. For many attendees, it had been years since their last visit, and plenty of great memories came rushing back. Thank you to everyone who joined us.
On June 25, we’re excited to offer another excellent factory tour featuring P3 and partner Vapor Apparel. P3 provides a wide range of solutions for apparel decoration, along with global sourcing, warehousing, fulfillment, and distribution. Vapor Apparel specializes in high-performance UPF apparel designed to withstand the heat of digital printing. Together, they are a valuable resource for SAAC members. As an added bonus, P3 will host a drawing for a seven-night trip to the Hard Rock Hotel in Cabo—winner must be present to receive it.
In July, we’ll be introducing our inaugural Unbagging Event. Members will have the opportunity to purchase the SAAC Unbagging Beach Bag, which will be delivered prior to the event—but don’t open it just yet. Each bag will be filled with beach-themed products from many of our outstanding supplier partners. Then, on July 22, we’ll open the bags together during a virtual meeting, where participating suppliers will briefly introduce and highlight their featured products. Heidi and her team have put a great deal of effort into curating a fun and impressive assortment.
And of course, we can’t forget the many online webinars available this season. With topics designed for suppliers, distributors, and service providers alike, there is truly something for everyone. Sessions will cover a variety of timely subjects, including print-on-demand, packaging, and how to pursue government contracts.
And of course, we have the SAAC Expo in Long Beach in August. Check out next month’s SAAC Times for those details. Until then – enjoy the start of your summer.
